How a website refresh is like a brand new haircut after a break up

In a nutshell

  • Neurocraft is back after a long break.
  • Writing again — sharing insights on neurodivergence & complex trauma.
  • Sticking with my own website (new look!) instead of Substack.
  • Best way to stay updated: RSS or this semi-regular newsletter.

The full update

Neurocraft is slowly rousing from a much-needed hibernation. In the mean time, I've become an avid recreational dancer, returned to therapy (this round diving into the magic of Parts Work), and spent a lot of time reflecting on what's next.

Over the past few years, Neurocraft has come to represent what I most want to give to the world, and honestly that's a lot of pressure to put on myself. My head has been full of ambitious ideas, but they tend to slam into walls of self-doubt (some of which are valid reminders of my limitations). I was left overwhelmed and stuck in a long stretch of writer's block that took a lot of unpacking.

Returning to the written word

But I've emerged. And I'm rearing to go! Writing again is my starting point. I want to keep sharing the growth, nuance, and wisdom I’ve gathered over the years — both personally and professionally — about navigating neurodivergent life shaped by complex trauma. And I may experiment with other formats too along the way.

I briefly flirted with the idea of moving to Substack, but it didn't felt like home. So I'm staying here, in my little corner of the internet, refreshed with a new look (my version of getting a new haircut and wardrobe). This is where my writing will live, alongside any other ideas that brew long enough to make it out into the world.

How to keep up-to-date

You can follow along via RSS, drop in whenever you like, or wait for these semi-regular newsletters for round-ups of new posts and any updates (there’s plenty more coming). Substack subscribers have already been added to this list, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

I still technically have Facebook and Instagram pages, but I'll be closing at least one of them as soon as I decide which one I dislike more.

If you’ve read this far, thank you — I’m so glad you’re here. Let's keep exploring together.
